What to know before you visit:
- Most books, CDs, DVDs, and LPs are $1. We sell high-quality secondhand books and other items from public donations and withdrawn library materials.
- Every dollar we raise supports the Toronto Public Library. Our store is volunteer-run and all funds are donated in support of library programs.
- We restock daily. Our volunteers restock the store all day long, which means there’s always a new treasure to discover.
- We only accept cash. Debit or credit won’t be accepted.
- Bring your own bags! We do not supply them in the store.
- Interested in donating books? Check out our donation guidelines here.
“Awesome concept and incredible execution! The books are kept in good condition, well organized, and super duper cheap. It’s not donated junk at all! I’ve found some gems here. It’s always a pleasure to pop my head into BOOKEnds whenever I’m at the Toronto Reference Library. The people that run this place are always very friendly and kind.”
